A landmark 200th cargo has discharged at the UK’s South Hook LNG terminal.
The Q-Flex 215,000-cbm Al Gattara (built 2007) dropped off the volumes on 19 October to lift the total amount of LNG received at the facility to just over 47 million cubic metres.
South Hook LNG last year regasified around 61% of all LNG imported into the UK.
“The arrival and safe discharge of the 200th ship at South Hook LNG is a major milestone in the fulfilment of Qatar’s vision,” said Qatar Petroleum International chief executive and chairman of the South Hook LNG terminal board, Nasser Al-Jaidah.
