Ukraine has selected Spanish engineer Socoin to carry out a feasibility study into its maiden LNG regasification terminal.
Vladislav Kaskiv, head of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects, said the company had been chosen from a list of five finalists.
Preliminary plans call for construction of a 2 billion cubic metres per annum first phase by 2014. Later phases would lift capacity to 5 Bcma by 2015 and 10 Bcma by 2017.
