Norwegian shipowner IM Skaugen said it is one of two finalists to develop an LNG import terminal in Bahrain.

The outfit, which outlined a plan to shift its focus to LNG infrastructure, said its bid involved building a shore-based terminal and handling logistics, but not supply.

“We aim to prevail in this competition,” Skaugen said in an earnings release.

The outfit said the project will require ships similar to its fleet of six Norgas multigas carriers.
