Singapore’s Energy Market Authority is gearing up to launch a follow-up consultation over its proposed models for future LNG imports to the city state’s upcoming terminal.
The agency first published a paper in April asking for feedback on how the government should secure up to 15 million tonnes per annum beyond BG Group’s currently contracted volumes.
“EMA will present the preliminary findings and recommendations via a second round of consultation by the end of this year to seek further comments from the industry, before reaching a decision on the framework by 2013,” said an EMA spokeswoman.
BG Singapore Gas Marketing is currently the only gas aggregator for the SLNG terminal under construction on Jurong Island.
