Singapore’s Energy Market Authority has proposed two models for future LNG imports beyond BG Group’s currently contracted volumes.
The agency launched a consultation asking for views on how the government should secure up to 15 million tonnes per annum of LNG, which it noted could equate to Singapore’s demand for the fuel by 2024.
The first option is to have a regulated sole importer.
