Norway’s Hoegh LNG does not expect to sanction its UK import project until the end of next year, representing a further delay in the timetable.

Sveinung Stohle, chief executive of the LNG carrier and regasification vessel owner, blamed the push back at Port Meridian on regulatory hurdles.

Stohle told Reuters that the 3 billion to 6 billion cubic metre per annum project will not start-up until 2015 instead of 2014.
