A construction yard in the Philippines has won a significant fabrication contract linked to the Gladstone LNG project in Queensland, Australia.
A spokesman for project co-owner Santos confirmed Atlantic Gulf & Pacific Company (AG&P) of Manila will build the liquefaction plant modules.
AG&P fitted the bill because it has a track record for building modules in its Batangas heavy fabrication yard, about 100 kilometres south of Manila, sources said.
