Petronet LNG’s board of directors has approved further expansion of the Dahej LNG terminal in Gujarat state to 15 million tonnes per annum.
The Indian importer is already building a new jetty at the 10 million tpa facility that will allow the world’s largest LNG carriers to deliver cargoes when completed in 2013.
The company previously said the new capacity boost is slated to enter operations in the third quarter of 2014.
