Petronet LNG has launched a front-end engineering and design tender for its first import project on India’s east coast.

The terminal developer this week invited around 10 companies that had earlier filed expressions of interest to submit full bids for the work.

“They are international companies involved in the LNG business,” said Petronet chief manager of projects Vineet Kumar Sethi on the sidelines of IQPC’s Small-Mid Scale LNG summit in Amsterdam.

A contract should be awarded in a couple of months, he added, and the FEED is then expected to take 120 days.
