Indonesian state energy company Pertamina has halted the bidding process for its planned Central-East Java floating regasification terminal and is re-tendering the job.
Companies that pre-qualified for the original exercise are eligible to try again, industry sources said.
Pertamina is said to have expressed dissatisfaction with the prices on offer from the only two bidders left in the running.
Sources questioned, however, whether the company had succeeded in lining up supply and infrastructure for the project and suggested there may have been some nervousness about having only two bidders on the job.
