Pakistani regulators have issued construction licences to three companies vying to build the country’s first LNG terminal.
Associated Group subsidiary Pakistan GasPort and fertiliser company Engro, both of Pakistan, are joined by Global Energy Infrastructure of Turkey.
The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority granted the permits for sites at Port Qasim near Karachi.
The companies were among 17 that submitted expressions of interest in a tender to build a 500 million cubic feet per day terminal for government-controlled Sui Southern Gas.
The
