A second storage tank is back on the agenda for EcoElectrica’s Penuelas LNG import terminal in Puerto Rico.
The developer, which previously allowed a 1996-issued permit for a new tank to lapse, has now told regulators that additional storage would support upgrade ambitions.
“The construction of the second LNG storage tank to supply natural gas fuel to the commonwealth remains one of EcoElectrica’s considerations for a future expansion of the LNG terminal,” said the operator in a filing with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
