Aker Solutions and Gasnor are planning to resume work on a novel small-scale LNG storage tank design after reviewing the cause of an unspecified “incident”.
The Norwegian players are refusing to detail what happened during the pressure test of a prototype of the tank late last year. “Instead we have decided to inform our potential customers directly why this incident happened and what corrective actions have been taken to ensure that such an incident will not happen again,” said a project source.
“We have plans for the next steps but we are awaiting top management decisions before our plans are official,” she added.
