Brazil’s ministry of infrastructure and logistics is eyeing development of what could be a fifth LNG import terminal in the country.
A regasification facility is detailed in the Parana state government’s latest list of investment opportunities as a public-private alliance. The terminal would supply gas to the south of the country.
The ministry could not be reached for comment.
Local reports suggest gas utility Compagas is also looking at developing an LNG import terminal in the area.
