Osaka Gas is promising to build a storage tank at its Senboku LNG terminal 1.
The Japanese gas distributor said it will kick off construction of the 230,000 cubic metre unit in September, with the aim to complete it in November 2015.
Senboku is split into two plants and currently has an LNG storage capacity of 1.77 million cubic metres.
