Osaka Gas is in negotiations with three leading US export project developers to buy LNG.
The Japanese utility is in talks with Freeport LNG, where it is a shareholder in the existing Texas import terminal, said Tetsushi Ikuta, general manager of the utility’s energy resources and business development unit.
The company was also negotiating with Sempra Energy and Dominion Resources, he told Bloomberg News.
