Spanish conglomerate Grupo Villar Mir has launched a long-awaited open season for its proposed terminal in south-western Spain.
If the company proceeds it will be the second import facility at the port city of Huelva where Enagas already has a terminal.
The Villar Mir Energia subsidiary is seeking expressions of interest in medium or long-term spare capacity at the site.
The so-called Energas LNG Terminal will have an initial send-out capacity of nearly 4 billion cubic metres per annum.
