October rematch for Dabhol LNG cool-down cargo

Commissioning of the Dabhol LNG terminal in India has been set back until October after attempts to unload a cool-down cargo failed.

Gail (India) confirmed that adverse sea and weather conditions prevented the 138,074-cbm Excelerate (built 2006) from discharging at the regasification project as planned.

Speaking at the World Gas Conference in Kuala Lumpur this week, Gail’s marketing director Prabhat Singh said Excelerate Energy’s vessel arrived at the terminal in March just before the monsoon season hit.
