Italy’s government has finally approved the long-delayed LNG MedGas import project in Gioia Tauro.
The environment, economic development and infrastructure ministries have now signed the final decree on the development, the last major regulatory hurdle.
However, terminal backer MedGas Group and partners Sorgenia and Iride still have some bureaucracy to work through before they can kick off construction of the onshore plant.
