The mayor of the Canary Islands’ capital has offered a site in his city for a stalled terminal on Gran Canaria island.
Juan Jose Cardona told a Las Palmas city hall meeting that the facility currently slated for the port of Arinaga is a strategic project for his municipality.
“The city needs it. We can’t lose any more time,” he said. He proposed building the terminal at the city’s La Luz port.
