- Asian spot prices slipped this week due to thin demand from the region’s major LNG buying utilities, according to Rim Intelligence. Price assessments for cargoes for second-half December delivery fell to an average of $17.05 per million British thermal units from $17.15 a week earlier.
- Tokyo Electric Power Company said it expects to import 22.6 million tonnes of LNG during the 2011-12 fiscal year, which ends 31 March, up 14% on the previous 12 months and the highest level since at least 2007.
