Lithuania’s Klaipedos Nafta is planning to launch an LNG supply tender “shortly” for the Baltic nation’s maiden terminal project.
The company said it expects to sign a contract in the second half of the year.
“Most probably gas for the Klaipeda LNG terminal will be procured from the US, Norway or Arabian states,” said Klaipedos Nafta general manager Rokas Masiulis.
Lithuania is hoping to open talks with Qatari suppliers Qatargas and RasGas.
