Liberty Natural Gas is planning a downscaled version of its floating LNG terminal off the US north-east coast.
The developer said it will now target a “more modest” 400 million cubic feet per day in seasonal volumes, as opposed to the 2.4 billion cfd capacity planned under the original scheme.
The project will also have a much shorter pipeline and a reduced investment to a dual buoy system, rather than the original submerged turret buoy connection.
