Lebanon expects to issue a full request for proposals in October to a shortlist of bidders looking to develop the country’s maiden LNG import terminal.
The government is currently conducting the first stage of the bidding process having called for expressions of interest to be filed by 4 June.
“The EOI responses are high but still no one has expressed (formal) interest,” said a project source.
“As for the request for proposals, we are planning to issue it to the successful bidders in October.”
