The US Energy Information Administration has released a much-anticipated report on the potential impact of LNG exports on the domestic market.
In short, the EIA found that exporting LNG will push up local gas prices significantly, potentially 54% come 2018.
However, the impact on end-user electricity bills is predicted to be more moderate as generators use less gas and more coal in response to the price hikes.
