Kuwait is studying whether to build a permanent onshore LNG terminal to meet skyrocketing gas demand.
The facility would allow the Middle East country to bring in cargoes year-round, said Kuwait Petroleum Company deputy managing director for marketing Jamal Al-Loughani.
It would also have sufficient storage to handle surplus volumes during the slower winter season.
