Kenya expects its maiden LNG import project to cost $500 million, a government official said.
Energy Ministry Permanent Secretary Patrick Nyoike said the government plans to provide land for the facility at Dongo Kundu in Mombasa but the remainder of the project will be a private sector initiative.
The East African country is planning to issue a tender for a company to develop and operate a 2 million tonnes per annum regasification terminal.
