Negotiations are in progress over a short-term charter on a Japanese-controlled LNG carrier newbuilding which delivers today.



Offers are understood to have been received for the 177,000-cbm Energy Horizon, which is jointly owned by Japanese utility Tokyo Gas shipping arm Tokyo LNG Tanker Company and compatriot shipowner NYK.



Energy Horizon, which TLTC has dubbed a ‘Pacificmax’, is due to be formally handed over by Kawasaki Heavy Industries on Friday after undergoing gas tests at the Japanese utility’s Sodegaura receiving terminal.



The
