Six international players have lodged initial bids in an LNG supply tender for Jamaica’s maiden import project.
Shell International Trading Middle East, Repsol-YPF and Marubeni offered up volumes for the terminal, along with Pace Global, Morgan Stanley and Gas Natural Fenosa.
The government intends to evaluate the bids over the next couple of weeks and draw up a shortlist. Chosen parties are due to be notified by 13 January with comments from those companies on the draft sales and purchase agreement due in on 17 February.
