Hyundai Engineering & Construction (HDEC) has been selected to build Hiranandani Group’s first LNG import terminal on India’s west coast.
The South Korean player will be formally awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract by next March, said a Hiranandani source.
HDEC completed front-end engineering and design studies for the terminal in late October after kicking off the work in May.
EPC activities will likely start in April and will take around 44 months to complete, which puts commissioning in the fourth quarter of 2015.
