Jamaica has extended the deadline for offers to act as a placement agent to raise funds for the country’s first LNG import terminal.

 

Bidders now have until today to lodge applications with the energy ministry.

 

The LNG steering committee overseeing the project had to stretch out the procurement process due to the US Memorial Day holiday, a source said, “which made it difficult for US participants to complete their submissions”.

 

The tender had been due to close on Tuesday.
