Norway’s Hoegh LNG has firmed up a deal with Perusahaan Gas Negara to provide a floating storage and regasification unit to act as the Medan LNG terminal in Indonesia.

Hoegh, which was selected as preferred bidder for the job earlier this year, has entered into a binding heads of agreement with PGN for the project offshore Belawan in North Sumatra.

The HoA states that Hoegh LNG must use its first FSRU newbuilding due for delivery at the end of 2013 for the Medan project.
