Hess LNG plans to focus on its Shannon LNG terminal in Ireland and pursue other business opportunities following the collapse of two regasification projects in the US.

The US developer withdrew its Crown Landing proposal this month due to a changing natural gas market in North America.

Its Weaver’s Cove project was laid to rest for similar reasons late last year.

“Market conditions will not support LNG imports anywhere in North America that we can see,” said company president Gordon Shearer.
