Gulf LNG Energy operator El Paso and Qatar Petroleum-controlled Golden Pass LNG have confirmed they are both open to the possibility of adding export capabilities.
The terminals, the newest in the severely under-utilised US Gulf Coast imports corridor, are the only operating regas sites in the region yet to ask the US Department of Energy for the go-ahead to liquefy domestic gas.
