Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals is reportedly considering joining an LNG terminal proposal at the Indian town of Sikka.
Gujarat State Petronet Ltd, another state government-controlled outfit, is developing the facility not far from a GSFC urea plant that is being expanded.
New national policies are “expected to provide major relief for gas used in fertiliser units, making it viable to use imported gas”, a GSFC told the livemint website.
