Chinese partners CNOOC Gas & Power and Shenzhen Energy are boosting the size of their proposed LNG terminal in Shenzhen as the city’s demand expectations mount.



The CNOOC Shenzhen LNG joint venture is pursuing a plan to add a fourth 160,000 cubic-metre storage tank to the original three-unit layout, according to sources. This would lift the facility’s proposed capacity to 4 million tonnes per annum, up from 3 million tpa.
