Golar LNG has been selected to provide a floating storage and regasification unit to Chilean power distributor GasAtacama.
The company beat off existing regas player Hoegh LNG and new sector entrant BW Gas to scoop the work.
GasAtacama originally said it was looking at using a converted LNG carrier for the job. All three bidders were sitting on older ships that could be utilised.
