Gasol has agreed to acquire African Power Generation to boost its plans to develop LNG import projects in West Africa.
The company has entered into an option agreement with AfGen and its major shareholder African Gas Development Corporation to buy the entire share capital of AfGen.
Gasol is looking to bring floating, storage and regasification units into West Africa before the region’s own gas resources can be commercialised.
