Chilean outfit GasAtacama is in talks that could see it bring US exported LNG into northern Chile.
General manager Rudolf Araneda has told Chile’s El Mercurio daily that the talks are with a would-be exporter on the Gulf of Mexico.
The LNG “could arrive in the country in four-years’ time,” he said.
Two US players are eying 2015 start-up of liquefaction projects at their existing import terminals.
