Gail (India) has put out a tender for a project management consultant to provide a floating storage and regasification unit for what could become India’s first offshore east coast LNG import terminal, writes Lucy Hine.
Speaking on the sidelines of the CWC World LNG Summit, Gail director (marketing) Prabhat Singh said the company hopes to appoint a consultant shortly.
It will be tasked with homing in on three or four possible locations for the facility and recommending the best one.
