Just two bidders have been confirmed for Pertamina’s Central-East Java floating LNG import project in Indonesia. Industry sources said Japan’s Mitsui OSK did not make an offer, as reported last week.
This leaves just Golar LNG and Hoegh LNG in the running to provide a floating storage and regasification unit off the northern coast of Java near Semarang. This has led to some speculation that the contract could be re-tendered.
