Canary Islands utility GasCan is expected to receive the green light “at any moment” for the archipelago’s first LNG terminal after drawing a lucky hand in Spain’s political upheaval.
Industry Minister Jose Manuel Soria is understood to have told local politicians that the project at the port of Granadilla on Tenerife island will be approved.
A GasCan source warned, however, that the ministry has still to “turn words into deeds” and publish the permit approval.
