Freeport LNG has pulled out of a project to add a natural gas liquids extraction system at its Quintana Island import terminal in the US.
The developer has been awaiting consent to build the facility for more than a year due to delays in setting new vapour dispersion rules.
Freeport has now decided that changes in the market during that time have made the scheme less attractive.
