Foster Wheeler has won a front-end engineering and design contract for a land-based terminal project in the Dominican Republic.
The US engineer said subsidiary Global Engineering and Construction Group won the contract from a Dominican-Colombian joint venture known as Complejo GNL del Este, or Eastern LNG Complex.
The facility, planned for San Pedro de Marcoris on the Dominican Republic’s south-eastern coast, will have a single 160,000 cubic metre storage tank and 240 million cubic feet per day of send-out capacity.
