A Scandinavian consortium is gearing up to launch a full feasibility study into LNG fuelling infrastructure for shipping throughout Northern Europe after completing baseline research.
Initial work by AF-Industry and SSPA Sweden, in conjunction with the Danish Maritime Authority, found that a lack of bunker vessels in the regional Sulphur Emission Control Area will be an obstacle and that more medium and small-scale ports need to establish the necessary facilities.
