Belgium’s Exmar has lodged a new bid to provide Jamaica’s floating storage and regasification unit, along with two other parties.
The Jamaican government’s LNG steering committee said it received three offers in the request for proposals stage.
As well as Exmar; South Korea’s Samsung C&T Corporation and Sener Ingenieria y Sisternas of Spain also bid, according to a project source.
Jamaica is aiming to open a 1 million tonnes per annum facility at Port Esquivel by early 2014.
