Israel has named three Excelerate Energy vessels as potential candidates for the country’s maiden LNG import terminal.

State-owned Israel Electric Corporation said the 138,087-cbm Excelsior (built 2005, pictured), 138,120-cbm LNGRV Excellence (built 2005) and 138,074-cbm Excelerate (built 2006) are in line for the job.

All three are currently acting as LNG carriers while they remain uncommitted to regas projects.

The Excelsior left Bahia Blanca in Argentina towards the end of last year to make room for a larger Excelerate Energy vessel to come in and boost throughput at that import terminal.
