Gail (India) has bought a cargo from Excelerate Energy to commission the long-delayed terminal at Dabhol.
The cool-down process will begin later this month at the facility, The Economic Times newspaper reports.
Rob Bryngelson-led Excelerate, a US-based shipowner, also has a trading operation involved in the spot market.
Ratnagiri Gas & Power’s 5 million tonnes per annum Dabhol import terminal is expected to operate at a fraction of its capacity as marine infrastructure is yet to be constructed.
