Shipping and regasification player Excelerate Energy has officially scooped the deal to provide Petrobras with a floating storage and regaisifcation unit in southeast Brazil.
The 20 million cubic metres per day terminal, dubbed VT3, will be on a 15-year time charter.
Excelerate will also provide one of its existing FSRUs, the 150,900-cbm Exquisite (built 2009), from July 2013 to bridge the gap before the newbuilding comes online in May 2014.
