Italian refiner ERG has pulled out of plans for an LNG import terminal in Sicily, citing the difficult economic climate.
ERG said that it will no longer pursue the Priolo project in Syracuse, Sicily. The planned facility, which was expected to have an annual capacity of 8 billion cubic metres, has been repeatedly delayed since it was first proposed in 2005.
